– 1/2 cup unsalted butter

– 1/2 cup granulated sugar

– 1/2 cup packed light or dark brown sugar

– 2 large eggs at room temperature

– 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

– 6 tablespoons whole milk at room temperature

Instructions

1-Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and grease a 9-inch cake pan with butter or a substitute, then sprinkle brown sugar evenly on the bottom for that caramel base.

2-Arrange the peeled and sliced apples over the sugar in a decorative pattern to help with even caramelization and add visual appeal.

3-In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt along with the spices to create your dry mix it’s the foundation for a light, airy cake.

4-In another bowl, beat the eggs and granulated sugar until they’re fluffy, then mix in the melted butter and vanilla for a smooth, rich blend.

5-Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mix, stirring gently to avoid lumps and keep the batter nice and even.

6-Pour the batter over the apples in the pan, spreading it out carefully so everything bakes uniformly.
