🍌 This Chocolate Chip Banana Bread recipe delivers moist, sweet flavor with a perfect balance of banana and chocolate chips.
🍫 It’s easy to prepare and ideal for breakfast, dessert, or a comforting snack anytime you crave homemade goodness.

  • Total Time: 1 hour 10 minutes
  • Yield: 10 slices

Ingredients

– 1/2 cup unsalted butter (8 tablespoons), softened

– 2/3 cup sugar

– 2 large eggs at room temperature

– 3 medium or large very ripe bananas (about 1 3/4 cups mashed)

– 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

– 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

– 1 teaspoon baking soda

– 1/2 teaspoon salt

– 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or mini chocolate chips, divided (3/4 cup folded in, 1/4 cup sprinkled on top)

Instructions

1-Preheat the oven to 350Β°F (177Β°C): Butter and flour a standard 9.25 x 5.25 x 2.75 inch bread pan to prevent sticking and ensure easy removal.

2-Cream together the softened butter and sugar in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy, then add the two lightly beaten eggs and mix until well combined for a smooth base.

3-Mash the very ripe bananas to a chunky applesauce consistency and add them to the mixing bowl along with the vanilla extract; stir until everything blends together nicely.

4-In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually add these dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until just combined to keep the bread tender.

5-Fold in 3/4 cup of the chocolate chips into the batter, then pour the mixture into the prepared bread pan and sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup chocolate chips on top for extra indulgence.

6-Bake for 55 to 65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean; let the bread rest for 10 minutes before removing it to a wire rack to cool completely.
