๐Ÿซ These homemade chocolate truffles offer a rich, creamy texture that melts in your mouth for a luxurious treat.
โณ The recipe is simple to prepare, making it perfect for gifting or enjoying a decadent dessert at home.

  • Total Time: 2 hours 30 minutes
  • Yield: Approximately 20-24 truffles

Ingredients

– 8 ounces quality semi-sweet or bittersweet chocolate

– 2/3 cup heavy cream

– 1 Tablespoon unsalted butter (optional)

– 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract (optional)

– Unsweetened cocoa powder for toppings

– Sprinkles for toppings

– Crushed nuts for toppings

– Melted or tempered chocolate for toppings

Instructions

1- Place the finely chopped chocolate in a heat-proof bowl and set it aside.

2- Heat the heavy cream until it’s simmering, either on the stovetop or in the microwave.

3- Add the butter, if you’re using it, to the chocolate. Then, pour the warm cream evenly over the chocolate and let it sit for 5 minutes without stirring.

4- Stir in the vanilla extract if using, then mix until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth. Cover the surface directly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours until the mixture sets.

5- Scoop the set mixture into 2 teaspoon-sized mounds, or larger if you prefer, and roll each one into balls.

6- Roll the truffles in your desired toppings like cocoa powder or crushed nuts.

7- For the best taste, serve them at room temperature and store them tightly covered at room temperature for 3-4 days or in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
