  • Total Time: 1 hour 30 minutes
  • Yield: 12-16 servings

Ingredients

– 1 1/2 cups roughly chopped pecans

– 1 box (about 432 grams) of white or yellow cake mix

– 1 cup (240 ml) water

– 1/2 cup (120 ml) vegetable oil

– 3 eggs

– 3/4 cup (approximately 200 grams) whole berry cranberry sauce

– 8-ounce (227 grams) package of cream cheese

– 1/2 cup (115 grams) softened butter

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

– 2 cups (240 grams) powdered sugar

Instructions

1-Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and prepare your greased baking dish with the pecans at the bottom.

2-Mix the cake batter by combining the cake mix, water, oil, and eggs in a bowl until well blended.

3-Pour the batter over the pecans in the dish, then add swirls of 3/4 cup whole berry cranberry sauce on top.

4-In another bowl, blend the cream cheese, softened butter, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar to make the cream cheese mixture, then dollop it over the batter.

5-Swirl the cranberry sauce and cream cheese mixture into the batter gently with a knife for that chaotic, festive look.

6-Bake in the oven for 45 to 50 minutes until the cake is set and a toothpick comes out clean.

7-Let the cake cool in the pan for at least 30 minutes to make slicing easier and help it set properly.
