πŸ₯ This Crescent Roll Breakfast Casserole combines savory sausage and melty cheese for a hearty, satisfying morning meal.
🍳 Easy to prepare ahead of time, it’s perfect for busy mornings or weekend brunch with family and friends.

  • Total Time: 55 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

1 (8-ounce) package refrigerated crescent rolls for flaky base

1 pound breakfast sausage for savory protein

8 large eggs for binding and rich base

1 ΒΌ cups 2% milk to make egg mixture creamy

ΒΎ teaspoon kosher salt for seasoning

ΒΌ teaspoon garlic powder to add hint of flavor

ΒΌ teaspoon ground black pepper for touch of spice

Β½ to 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese for melty, savory layers

Β½ cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese for extra creaminess

Instructions

1-First, preheat the oven to 375Β°F and grease a 9Γ—13-inch baking dish to prevent sticking. Press the crescent roll dough into the dish and bake it for 5 minutes to get a head start on that flaky crust. While that’s in the oven, cook and drain the sausage to remove any excess fat, then layer it over the dough.

2-Next, sprinkle on the cheeses to create a gooey layer. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and seasonings until well combined, then pour this mixture evenly over the layers in the dish. Finally, bake for 35 to 40 minutes until the casserole is set and golden.

3-Preheat your oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C) and grease a 9Γ—13-inch baking dish.

4-Unroll the refrigerated crescent rolls and press them into the bottom of the dish, sealing the seams.

5-In a large bowl, whisk the eggs until smooth, then add the milk and seasonings, mixing thoroughly.

6-Cook and drain the sausage, then layer it on the crescent dough, followed by the cheeses.

7-Pour the egg mixture over the layers and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and set.
