πŸ§€ Enjoy crispy, gooey cheese bites that are perfect for quick and satisfying snacks.
πŸ”₯ These easy fried cheese bites offer a deliciously melty center wrapped in a crunchy coating that everyone will love.

  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 40-50 bites

Ingredients

– 10 oz mozzarella string cheese (or 10 sticks)

– 1 cup Italian bread crumbs

– 1 cup flour

– 2 eggs

– 1/4 cup milk

– Cayenne pepper (to taste, optional)

– Vegetable oil for frying (amount needed for 2 inches in a skillet)

Instructions

1-Getting started with fried cheese bites is fun and simple, beginning with prepping your ingredients just right. Cut the mozzarella string cheese sticks into bite-sized pieces, aiming for 4 or 5 per stick to make them easy to handle. Next, in a medium bowl, whisk the 2 eggs and then mix in the 1/4 cup milk to create a smooth egg mixture.

2-Set up three bowls for your breading station: one with the 1 cup flour, another with the egg and milk mixture, and the last with the 1 cup Italian bread crumbs feel free to add cayenne pepper here for extra kick. Dip each cheese piece first into the flour, then into the egg mixture, and finally coat it well in the bread crumbs. Place the coated pieces on a plate while you heat your oil.

3-Heat vegetable oil in a skillet to about 2 inches deep until it hits 350 degrees you can check by dipping a wooden spoon handle and watching for bubbles. Once ready, line a plate with paper towels for draining. Fry 5-7 pieces at a time, keeping them spaced to avoid sticking, for about 30 seconds until they’re golden brown. Use a slotted spoon to remove them and let them drain on the paper towels, then repeat until all are done. Serve right away, perhaps with pasta sauce for dipping.
