Ingredients

Scale

34 ripe or overly ripe bananas

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 egg

1 cup sugar

1/3 cup melted butter

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 1/2 cups flour

walnuts or chocolate chips

3 tablespoons melted butter

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla

A splash of milk

Instructions

1-Start by preheating your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and greasing a bread loaf pan to avoid any sticking mishaps. Next, mash those 3-4 ripe bananas in a bowl and mix them with 1 cup of sugar until it’s all nicely blended. Add in the 1/3 cup melted butter, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and the beaten egg, stirring everything together for that perfect batter base. Combine 1 1/2 cups flour and 1 teaspoon baking soda in another bowl, then gently mix it into the wet ingredients to keep the texture light and airy!

2-Now, fold in your optional walnuts or chocolate chips if you’re feeling nutty or chocolaty today it adds such a fun crunch! Pour the batter into your prepared pan and smooth it out with a spatula for even baking. Pop it in the oven and bake for 50 to 60 minutes, checking with a toothpick to make sure it comes out clean. While the bread is still warm, whip up the glaze by melting 3 tablespoons butter and mixing in 1/2 cup powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla; add a splash of milk if needed. Spread that glaze over the warm bread and watch it set as it cools yum!
