🦞 This Lobster Tail with Garlic Lemon Butter recipe delivers rich, succulent seafood flavor with a fresh, zesty twist for an unforgettable meal.
πŸ‹ Combining garlic, lemon, and butter gives each lobster tail a buttery, aromatic finish that’s quick and easy to make.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

4 lobster tails (5 to 6 oz each)

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped (plus extra for garnish)

2 garlic cloves, pressed

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper

1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil

1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided (2 tablespoons for broiling, 2 tablespoons for sauce)

Instructions

1-First, prepare the lobster by cutting through the top shell with kitchen scissors, stopping at the base. Flip it over, crack the ribs to open the shell, and loosen the meat while removing any grey vein. Lift the meat to rest on top of the shell for even cooking it’s easier than it sounds, and this step makes a big difference in flavor and texture. Trust me, you’ll love how pro this makes you feel!

2-Next, preheat your oven broiler on high and position the rack so the lobster is about 6 inches from the heat. In a bowl, mix the marinade with 1 tablespoon chopped parsley, pressed garlic, 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/8 teaspoon black pepper, 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil, and 1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice. This blend is what gives the dish its zing, so stir it well!

3-Arrange the lobster tails flesh-side up in a baking dish, spread the marinade evenly, and dot with pieces of 2 tablespoons butter. Broil for 10-11 minutes until the meat is opaque and reaches 145˚F inside this keeps it tender and juicy. For larger tails, adjust to 12-15 minutes with the rack in the middle. Once done, make a quick sauce by simmering the drippings with the remaining 2 tablespoons butter, then pour it over or use as a dip.

4-Serve right away with extra parsley and lemon wedges for a fresh finish. This whole process takes about 15 minutes to prepare and 15 minutes to cook, so it’s ready in under 30 minutes total.
