πŸͺ Their crunchy texture and rich caramel flavor make them an irresistible snack for any occasion.

  • Total Time: 24 minutes
  • Yield: 12 servings

Ingredients

– 1 nine-ounce package oyster crackers forms the crunchy base

– 1 cup (2 sticks) butter delivers creaminess and helps the caramel come together

– 1 cup brown sugar builds the rich, sweet caramel essence

– 2 teaspoons vanilla extract adds a warm, aromatic depth

– Half a teaspoon cinnamon brings a subtle spice for extra flavor

– 1 teaspoon salt enhances the balance of sweet and savory notes

Instructions

1-Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and prepare your baking sheet.

2-Melt butter and mix ingredients: Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat, then mix in the brown sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until fully dissolved.

3-Cook caramel mixture: Bring the mixture to a boil while stirring constantly, and let it cook for 2 to 3 minutes until it thickens and lightens up.

4-Coat crackers and add salt: Pour the hot caramel over the crackers right away and fold it in to coat them evenly, then sprinkle with salt.

5-Bake and cool: Bake for 7 to 9 minutes, watching carefully so it doesn’t burn, and let it cool before breaking into clusters.
