Instructions

1-First, preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2-In a large bowl, cream together the unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy this creates a smooth base for your dough.

3-Next, mix in the pure vanilla extract, pure almond extract, egg, egg yolk, and full-fat sour cream until well combined.

4-Gradually add the dry ingredients: all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, and salt, mixing until a dough forms.

5-Once the dough is ready, prepare the pecan filling by melting the unsalted butter, then stirring in heavy cream, pure maple syrup, packed brown sugar, a pinch of salt, and finely chopped toasted pecans until smooth.

6-Spoon the dough onto the baking sheet, add a dollop of pecan filling on top of each, and sprinkle with flaky sea salt.

7-Bake for 12-15 minutes until the edges are golden.

8-Let them cool on a wire rack to set the texture, and you’ll have delicious cookies ready to enjoy.
