πŸ₯ͺ Sausage Egg and Cheese Sliders are a quick and satisfying breakfast option perfect for busy mornings or meal prep.
πŸ§€ Combining savory sausage, fluffy scrambled eggs, and melty cheese in soft slider buns, this recipe offers hearty flavor and convenience.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 12 sliders 1x

Ingredients

Scale

24 ounces ground pork sausage or 2 breakfast sausage rolls

12 slider buns

8 large eggs, scrambled

6 slices pepper jack cheese

8 slices American cheese

1/2 cup butter, melted

1/4 cup maple syrup

Instructions

1-First, preheat your oven to 350Β°F as your starting point. This step gets things warming up while you prepare the other components, ensuring even cooking later on.

2-Next, warm a large skillet over medium heat at least 12-inch size works best to fit all the sausage patties without crowding.

3-Form the 24 ounces of ground pork sausage into 12 patties, making them slightly larger than the slider buns for a perfect fit. Cook them thoroughly in the skillet until they’re browned and no longer pink inside, which takes about 5 to 7 minutes per side. Don’t forget to expand on tips like draining excess fat for a lighter version, as mentioned in our preparation notes.

4-Once the sausage is done, cut the 12 slider buns in half lengthwise using a serrated knife to keep them intact. Place the bottom halves in a baking dish and set the tops aside for now. Scoop the scrambled 8 large eggs onto the bottom halves, then layer on the 6 slices of pepper jack cheese, the sausage patties, and finally the 8 slices of American cheese.

5-Now, pop the tops back on the sliders. In a small bowl, combine the 1/2 cup melted butter and 1/4 cup maple syrup, then brush this mixture generously over the roll tops, letting it drip down the sides. Make sure to use all of it for that extra flavor boost. Bake the assembled sliders for 15 to 20 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and serve them warm for the best taste.

Notes

πŸ₯“ Substitute sausage with bacon, turkey bacon, or deli ham for variety or less grease.
🍞 Use biscuits or mini bagels instead of slider buns for different textures.
πŸ§€ Swap cheese types like cheddar, Swiss, or provolone to change the flavor profile.
