Ingredients

1 16-ounce package frozen sweet peas, thawed and uncooked (canned peas can also be used)

2 hard-boiled eggs, chopped

4 to 6 slices of cooked, crisp bacon, crumbled or 1 cup cooked, chopped ham (optional)

1/2 cup chopped green onion (regular onion can be substituted)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (any cheese can be used)

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon celery seeds or 1/2 cup chopped celery

Dash of cayenne pepper

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1/2 cup sour cream

Instructions

1-In a salad bowl, combine the thawed peas (drained if necessary), chopped eggs, bacon or ham (or both), onion, cheese, black pepper, salt, garlic powder, celery seeds or chopped celery, and cayenne.

2-Mix in the mayonnaise and sour cream thoroughly.

3-Refrigerate for a couple of hours before serving.

4-Serves 6 to 8 people.
